Lambda Chi Alpha

Ben serves as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and as the Lead Director of the Advisory Board of Enola Labs, a software architecture, design, and engineering firm. As the author of TechDrawl, a blog promoting technology entrepreneurship and innovation across the South, Ben serves in many advisory capacities for technology ventures.  Ben is best known as a founder of Peachtree Software, Inc. and served as its president till 1983. He has served as president and chairman of the de novo Enterprise National Bank, was a founding director of Bank of Atlanta, and served as  He was Chairman and CEO of Comsell, Inc. Dyer has concentrated his community activities on higher education, serving as president of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, director of the Georgia Tech Foundation, chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board for Tech's School of Industrial & Systems Engineering, as well as chairman Georgia Tech Research Corporation. He has received the Joseph Mayo Petit Alumni Distinguished Service Award from Tech and has been inducted into Georgia Tech’s Hall of Fame.

Sigma Nu

Gary is a retired Wall Street businessman and a current professor in the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech.  He is widely known for his classroom teachings and even more so for his career development coaching of his students.  Gary is a firm believer in giving back to Georgia Tech and to Sigma Nu.   He sits as the Vice Chair of the Georgia Tech Foundation Board of Trustees, where he has served for many years.  Gary donates time and resources into the student experience at Tech.  He has established the Gary T. and Elizabeth R. Jones executive learning center at Scheller, and has an entry gate of Bobby Dodd Stadium named for his generosity.  Within Sigma Nu, Gary continues to work with the Alumni Association and regularly attends chapter meetings at the fraternity house.

Tau Kappa Epsilon

As he states in his talks with undergraduate students, Joe came to Georgia Tech with the sole intention of “making himself employable.”  Joe did just that.  He has spent his career since graduation in the banking industry, elevating himself to the position as chairman and CEO of State Bank Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, State Bank and Trust.  He is also strong supporter of the place that got him to point.  He has served Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business on the Advisory Board, and founded the Dean’s Scholarship Program in 2009.  Since that time, he and his wife have endowed three Reana W. and Je W. Evans Dean’s Scholarships.  His support of students continues with his involvement at his fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon.  Joe regularly visits the chapter house at meal times, speaking to the members about his experiences and offering advice for their lives and careers.  He has also served as a speaker at Greek Leadership Breakfasts.

Phi Kappa Tau

Steve is the president and founder of Ridgewood Advisors, LLC a boutique M&A and investment advisory firm focused on the energy, commodities and infrastructure sectors.  He is a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, serving many roles within the local and national organization.  Steve currently serves as the House Corporation president, sits on the chapter’s Board of Governors and serves on the Phi Kappa Tau Foundation Board of Trustees.  In addition to his fraternity commitments, Steve serves Georgia Tech as the Chair of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Chair of the GT Alumni Association Board of Trustees.  He also remains active on the College of Engineering Advisory Board, the Georgia Tech Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Georgia Tech Research Corporation.

Alpha Gamma Delta

Jane is a dedicated professional to the financial industry in Atlanta, currently serving as the CFO of InfiCorp Holdings, Inc.  She offered her professional talents in service to her sorority, where she served as the financial advisor to the chapter for 19 years following her graduation.  Additionally, she co-sponsors the Gamma Phi Memorial Scholarship that supports current undergraduate members who face financial hardship during their college career.  Jane has also been a long-time donor to Georgia Tech, having been recognized as a member of the Founder’s Council. She remains actively involved in church, attending mission trips, and as a board member for ArtWithin.  Jane is often described as humble woman, never seeking recognition for her service to others.

Alpha Delta Pi

Kathie is the president of Kathleen Day and Associates, a firm focused on building livable, sustainable homes that are energy efficient.  She is a special member of Alpha Delta Pi Fraternity, having been one of the founding members of the chapter at Georgia Tech in 1977.  Kathie currently serves Georgia Tech as Trustee for the Georgia Tech Foundation Board of Trustees, and is a Life Member of the Alexander-Tharpe Fund.  Kathie and her family established the Cecil B. Day Program in Business Ethics at Georgia Tech to recognize her father’s belief that “You cannot be a success without being successful in the right way.” Her commitment to the Atlanta community is evidenced through her profession and continued philanthropic involvement.

Alpha Xi Delta

As an accomplished architect, Janice has contributed significantly to the professional landscape, non-profit organizations, Georgia Tech, and to her sorority – Alpha Xi Delta.  In her career, Janice has work on designs for MARTA stations, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and various governments.  Janice is also known for her work on campus with many fraternity and sorority houses, as well as the Woodruff Residence Hall.  Her success has led her to become a principal at the firm of Richard Wittschiebe Hand.  In addition to her professional work, Janice offers her time and talents as a dedicated alumna of Georgia Tech.  She has served as the chair of the Alumni Association board of trustees, and as a member of the Athletic Association board and Georgia Tech Foundation.  For over 10 years she has also served as the vice president of operations for the sorority’s house corporation, and lead various capital campaigns.

Alpha Chi Omega

Deborah retired in 2003 after a distinguished career with Microsoft Corporation, where she served as senior vice president. Previously, she was an executive at IBM Corporation. Deborah has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business, twice. Her honors from Georgia Tech include serving on the Foundation Board of Trustees, Georgia Tech Advisory Board and an emeritus member of the H. Milton Steward School of Industrial Science and Engineering Advisory Board. In 1999, she delivered the Commencement address, inspiring Tech’s graduating students. She is a member of the Founders’ Council, Presidents’ Council and The Hill Society, Georgia Tech’s most prestigious donor recognition society. She is among 10 family members who have earned Tech degrees, and together with her brothers has endowed the Harold R. and Mary Anne Nash Early Career Professorship in the school of Industrial and Systems Engineering, in memory of her parents. In her community, Deborah is a passionate support of health and cancer research, the arts and social services.

Alpha Delta Pi

Annie is the chair of the School of Interactive Computing and a professor in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.  She is the founder and director of a research center devoted to issues of protection in information systems. She has been recognized as the Chief Security Officer Magazine’s Woman of Influence in the Public Sector, received the GT Alumni Association Leadership Award for International Study. At Georgia Tech, she serves as a Jackets mentor and has served on the GT Alumni Association Board of Trustees as well as the GT Advisory Board. In Alpha Delta Pi, she serves the Faculty Advisor, often presenting programs on holistic wellness. In her community, Annie serves on the Trekking for Kids Board, where she has volunteered at four orphanages while trekking through those countries, one of which was the Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal.

Alpha Gamma Delta

As a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity, Liz has served as a chapter advisor, a national committee chair, and the Director of Chapter Development.  Currently, Liz serves on the sorority’s International Council as the Vice President of Extension, working to bring the sorority to campuses across North America. She also assists with recruitment activities at the Georgia Tech chapter house each fall semester.  Professionally, Liz works as the Chief Sustainability Officer at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, having been in that role since 2008.  Through her initiatives, Liz works to increase employee involvement in sustainability practices, to support a healthier environment, higher quality of work-life, and more efficient operations.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Nicolette’s career in IT, project management, and Computer and Information systems has been impressive, holding jobs with AT&T, Airborne Express, Carter Brothers, and Tyco. After graduating from Georgia Tech, she moved to the West Coast where she continued to give back to Tech by serving as a leader in the Seattle Alumni Club. After moving back to Georgia, she continued her service to the Georgia Tech community be serving as a charter member and president of the GT Black Alumni Organization. She also served as a member of the Board of Trustees as the Greek Alumni Council chair. Within in the community, Nicolette serves a board member of the Fulton Leadership Academy. As a student, she served in many leadership rules within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, as well as President and Vice President of the Panhellenic Greek Council. Outside of Greek life, Nicolette was a member of the band, and was involved with many other student organizations. As an alumnae, she served as her chapter’s Graduate Advisor from 2009 till 2013.

Phi Delta Theta

Benjamin serves as the Assistant Vice President of the Sandersville Railroad, a family company, where he oversee the railroad’s operations. Founded in 1893, the Sandersville Railroad operates over ten miles of track in Georgia, serving as a critical link between local industry and the rest of the country. In 2006, Benjamin began serving a seven-year term representing Georgia’s Tenth District on the state’s Board or Regents by then-Governor Sonny Perdue. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 2011, and re-appointed to serve a second term in 2013.  Through his work, Benjamin has proved critical in cementing Georgia Tech’s position as the flagship university of the state, while at the same time ensuring the University System of Georgia continues to offer a top-notch education to its students. A graduate of both Leadership Washington County and Leadership Georgia, Benjamin also serves of the boards of the Oconee Fall Line Technical College, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Georgia. Additionally, he served as president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, the Sandersville Rotary Club, and the Georgia Railroad Association.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Andre Dickens was elected Atlanta’s 61st mayor in November 2021, making him the first Black alumnus of Georgia Tech to be elected mayor and only the second Tech alumnus to hold the position, following in the footsteps of the late Ivan Allen Jr.

A member of Tech’s Alumni Association board of trustees, Dickens holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tech and a Master of Public Administration in economic development from Georgia State University. He also served as the assistant director of Outreach Initiatives for Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and led Tech’s African-American Male Initiative.
