Kerry McCarthy is the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In her role, she advises the Collegiate Panhellenic Council, the Multicultural Panhellenic Council, and Order of Omega, serve as a liaison to 39 private Greek housing corporations and organizes the Greek Advance Programs. She is a proud member of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta, and it is in her home state of Wisconsin where she completed her B.S. in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She first set foot in Georgia when she moved to Statesboro to receive her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration at Georgia Southern University. Kerry has worked with Fraternity and Sorority Life in a multitude of ways, from her professional career to volunteer roles. Kerry has served her Sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, as Risk Management and Policy Specialist and the Gamma Rho chapter's Recruitment Advisor. Currently, she volunteers for Southeastern Greek Leadership Association, AFLV, and the National Panhellenic Conference as part of the Recruitment Committee. Kerry is dedicated to facilitating conversations on mental health, women empowerment, navigating loss and community building. She enjoys movies, rock music, cuddles with her dog Kennedy, Peloton, and exploring new places.
