Janise McKenzie is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a Graduate of the University of Georgia. There she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. Janise was a very involved student at UGA. She worked heavily in programs that aimed in helping underrepresented students at UGA and the surrounding area. She also had the privilege of joining Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Through her involvement and love for serving others, she developed her interest in Student Affairs. Because of this passion, Janise went on to earn her Master of Education in Higher Education at Auburn University. There, she worked with student organizations, welcome week programming, and student recruitment. Upon graduating from Auburn, Janise spent time at the University of Tampa in residence life as an area coordinator, managing communities of first year and returning students. Janise has now brought her efforts of service and helping students back to the Atlanta area. In Janise’s spare time, she enjoys quality time with her family, local markets, and the arts. Janise is excited to work at Georgia Tech and continue her passion of student development.
